Resource packs change textures, sounds, and other assets. Shaders change lighting and graphics and usually require a compatible support mod.

  1. Open the instance.
  2. Select Resource packs or Shaders.
  3. Choose Add content.
  4. Search for and install the project.
The Resource Packs tab brings together search, installation, updates, folder access, and a toggle for each pack.

Use the control beside each item to enable or disable it. You can select multiple files for bulk actions. Resource packs may also need ordering in Minecraft’s own options.

Tegra prepares the required support when installing shaders. If the shader is listed but has no effect, select it in video settings.

The Shaders tab lets you add packs and enable or disable each file.

Shaders and high-resolution packs can substantially increase memory and GPU usage. If the game stutters:

  1. disable the newest item;
  2. lower quality, shadows, or render distance;
  3. check the author’s requirements;
  4. test without other graphics additions.

Make changes while the game is closed to avoid files being in use.
