Game will not start, Java, console, and logs

troubleshootingDiagnose an instance that closes, freezes, or never starts by using Tegra console and logs.game wont start crash freeze java console logs exit code crash reporten

A failure can come from Java, insufficient memory, an incompatible mod, or incomplete files. Preserve your data and investigate one change at a time.

  1. Close old Minecraft processes.
  2. Restart Tegra and try once.
  3. Check free space and connection.
  4. Undo the most recently added mod, shader, or argument.
  5. Check whether the account needs reconnection.

Open the instance console and start the game. Look for the first error near shutdown, not only the final line. Mod names, missing dependency, incompatible, and OutOfMemory often identify the cause.

The Logs tab lets you choose a file, search messages, filter results, and copy or export the log.

Return to Tegra’s automatic Java if you set a custom path. Different Minecraft releases need different Java versions; newest is not always correct.

  • Match every mod to Minecraft and the modloader.
  • Install missing dependencies.
  • Do not mix Forge, Fabric, and NeoForge files.
  • Disable newly added mods first.

If the log reports low memory, increase it gradually according to the modpack recommendation. Never assign all system RAM.

Export the log from the console, remove personal data, and explain what changed before the failure. Attach the file to your problem report instead of pasting thousands of lines.
