Open, update, and manage an instance

The instance page brings together Play, installed content, worlds, screenshots, logs, and instance-specific settings.

  1. Select the instance in the Library.
  2. Review update warnings or pending files.
  3. Choose an account if you have more than one.
  4. Select Play.

Tegra displays each preparation stage. Open the console when you need detailed messages.

Use the tabs for mods, resource packs, shaders, worlds, screenshots, and logs. Available options depend on the instance type and version.

When a new release is available, Tegra warns you before play. Read the changelog and back up important worlds. Prefer updating before adding more manual changes.

Adjust memory, Java, arguments, resolution, and appearance when needed. Use advanced overrides only when a guide or error specifically calls for them.

Open Instance settings → Maintenance and choose a check:

  • Full check: checks mods, resource packs, and shaders while preserving extra files.
  • Repair mods: checks only the mods in the selected environment.
  • Repair overrides: restores custom files supplied by the modpack, such as configuration and scripts.
  • Repair assets: checks sounds, languages, and other official resources for the Minecraft version.

Force a fresh download resets all content of the selected type. Tegra displays a confirmation describing the affected files before it continues. A forced mod repair also removes manually added mods. Back up your changes before forcing a mod or override repair.

Assets are shared by all instances. Close every running game before checking or repairing them.

Before deleting an instance, export worlds and files you want to keep. Local deletion cannot be undone by the launcher.
