    Update problems

    First identify whether the update is for the launcher or an instance/modpack. They use different procedures.

    Launcher will not update

    Section titled “Launcher will not update”
    1. Finish running games and downloads.
    2. Open Settings › Updates and check again.
    3. Confirm the selected release channel.
    4. Restart Tegra when prompted.
    5. If automatic installation keeps failing, download the latest official installer without deleting your data.

    Modpack will not update

    Section titled “Modpack will not update”
    1. Back up worlds.
    2. Read the changelog and confirm the destination release.
    3. Clear incomplete download tasks and retry.
    4. Check whether manually added files conflict.
    5. Do not open the game while files are being replaced.

    If the game fails afterward, check whether the author requires a new world, removed mods, or changed settings. Never force a downgrade on the same world without a compatible backup.

    Preserve worlds and screenshots before reinstalling anything. A full instance reinstall is the last step, not the first. For game diagnostics, see game will not start.
